Galway-based O’Donnellan and Joyce Auctioneers have been shortlisted as finalists in the prestigious 2015 Irish Independent Property Industry Excellence Awards in the category of Residential Agency of the Year.

The awards programme is designed to independently recognise the highest standards of professionalism and excellence across the entire property sector.

The competition for these awards is extremely high and the nominees show a strong mix of industry players. O’Donnellan and Joyce are thrilled to have been selected from over 70 entrants nationally following a rigorous adjudication by a high profile national judging panel chaired by Professor Brian Norton, President of Dublin Institute of Technology.

“We are so honoured and grateful to have been selected as finalists,” said Colm O’Donnellan.

“The Irish Independent Property Industry Excellence Awards recognise outstanding merit across the sector and we feel that this nomination contributes massively to the growing confidence in our auction and private treaty sales departments in the West of Ireland.

“I am delighted we have received this nomination as it is a recognition of the great team spirit that operates throughout our company,” said Mr O’Donnellan.

Established in 1982 in Galway by Colm O’Donnellan and Tony Joyce, O’Donnellan and Joyce, the auction property division has grown extensively alongside the Private Treaty sales division since January 2014 when O’Donnellan and Joyce were the first regional auctioneers to hold all-day property auctions outside of Dublin.

The advancement of technology and in particular live streaming of their all-day auctions has led to a growing international client base.

The company has held 12 such auctions in 19 months, and have generated €77 million in auction property sales since 2014.

The winners of each category will be announced at an awards ceremony and gala dinner at the National Convention Centre, Dublin on November 12.
