GALWAY ATLANTAQUARIA REFUTES STANDARDS REPORT

The largest aquarium in Ireland, based in Salthill, is refuting a report which suggests Irish zoos generally fail to meet minimum standards.

Galway Atlantaquaria says it’s fully in compliance with all relevant standards and is a member of the British and Irish Association of Zoos and Aquaria.

The Born Free Foundation has published a report in the European Parliament stating Irish zoos generally fail to meet standards for conservation and biodiversity.
