GALWAY AIRPORT BOARD TO MEET FOLLOWING CRUNCH TALKS

The board of Galway airport is to be briefed in the morning on the outcome of crunch talks on the financially crippled company.

If follows a meeting which concluded this evening between airport management and bank officials in an attempt to salvage a rescue package for the Carnmore facility.

The airport is facing being put into liquidation in the coming days, unless agreement can be reached on its future.

Over 1 million euro in funds was last month taken from the airport’s accounts to reduce company loans.
