GAA TO HOLD PUBLIC INFORMATION MEETING AT PEARSE STADIUM

The GAA county board is to hold a public information meeting at Pearse Stadium next Thursday.

The meeting is to be held prior to the submission of an amended planning application of the erection of floodlights at Pearse Stadium in Salthill.

It is expected that the installation of floodlights would boost attendance at matches and allow for more matches to be played on the grounds.

The information session will give residents in the vicinity of the Stadium a chance to voice their concerns of the impact the extra crowds could have on traffic in the area.
