FUTURE OF PORTIUNCULA HOSPITAL DESCRIBED AS ‘SAFE’

The Regional Director of Operations for HSE West has broken his silence over the future of Portiuncula Hospital in Ballinasloe.

Interim Director John Hennessy says the hospital’s future is "safe and solid."

He also says it will have a huge role in plans for a more coherent approach to hospital services in the West.
