FURTHER JAIL TIME FOR CITY DRUGS DEALER

A former heroin addict who is currently serving a 20-month sentence after being caught red-handed in an undercover Garda sting operation, received a further four-month prison sentence at Galway District Court today

37 year old Jason Golding of 37 Innishannagh Park, Newcastle, pleaded guilty to having €600 worth of amphetamines, known as ‘Speed’, for sale or supply to another on April 2 last year.

Inspector Sean Glynn told the court that Gardai stopped and searched a car in which Golding was a passenger and found the drugs along with a weighing scales.

Inspector Glynn said Golding was currently serving a 20-month prison sentence imposed last year after he was caught selling heroin to two undercover Gardai last April.

Judge Mary Fahy sentenced Golding to a further four months of this latest offence to be served consecutively to the 20-month sentence.
