Funnyman Brendan returns to Galway

Much-loved comedian Brendan Grace, who is celebrating 48 years in the business, will return to Galway early in 2019 for two shows.

He will be performing in the Loughrea Hotel and Spa on Tuesday, January 8, and in Galway City’s Clayton Hotel on Sunday, January 27.

In a career that has spanned nearly five decades, Brendan has created many memorable characters.

These include the sanctimonious priest, the father of the bride, and Bottler, the schoolboy with the unspeakable personal habits and a fine line in sympathy pleas.

Brendan is a brilliant character actor who gives life to all these creations in a wide variety of sketches – his interpretation of the ‘Irish Wedding’ is a masterpiece.

Brendan, his wife Eileen and their family now live in the United States, where his association with the late Frank Sinatra has brought him great success, but Ireland is still home and he tours here regularly.  His ‘Meet and Greet’ after shows is another reason for his popularity – he’s happy to pose for photos and chat with his many fans.

Tickets for Brendan’s show in Loughrea Hotel on Tuesday, January 8, are available from the hotel reception or by phone on 091-880088.

For the Clayton show on Sunday, January 27, tickets are available at 091-721900 or at the hotel reception. They cost €30 for both venues.

Tickets are also available from Ticketmaster.
