FULL SCALE SEARCH FOR RAIDERS CONCENTRATING ON LACKAGH

A full Garda search team is concentrating on the Lackagh area in the search for two members of a gang involved in an armed raid in Lackagh, Turloughmore last night.

A senior Garda source told Galway Bay FM News a nationwide search is also ongoing outside of Galway.

Two men are still being held at Millstreet Garda Station under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act in relation to a raid in Lackagh last night.

One man is in his fifties, the other in his twenties.

One man is still under Garda supervision at University Hospital Galway.

The two men detained at Galway Garda Station can be held for a maximum of 72 hours.
