FUJITSU INVESTMENT TO CREATE HIGH END JOBS IN GALWAY

Fujitsu Ireland is to embark on a major R&D investment project at NUI Galway which is expected to create high end research jobs.

The global ICT giant has linked up with the Digital Enterprise Research Institute and will focus its research in the area of networked knowledge.

The project led by Professor Stefan Decker, Director of DERI will seek to identify new models and commercial opportunities for exploiting the vast quantities of static and dynamic data on the internet, making it more valuable to end users.

The programme is supported by government through IDA and Science Foundation Ireland.
