A dynamic Moycullen scientist and technician is the latest convert to the benefits of Cannabidiol or CBD. Dara Scott found himself disappointed with the quality of products available for active people and specifically to treat conditions, such as Athlete’s Foot, in a natural way.

He wanted products that were both kind to the skin as well as the environment.

“Being an active and sporty person myself, I noticed that there was a need for tailored natural skincare for active people that targeted the issues we face on a regular basis as a result of our lifestyle,” he reflects.

“I researched what was being offered to this target group and found it was primarily synthetic, mostly male-orientated body washes with the word ‘sport’ on the front, that didn’t carry any of the natural and environmental ethos that I wanted for my brand.”

He set about using the expertise he had honed in creating Hive Alive – a hugely successful nutritional supplement for beehives – to develop Nuasan after four years of R&D (Research and Development).

At the core of the brand officially launched in 2020 is Nuasan Active Foot Care (€28.95), which prevents athlete’s foot, nail fungus and foot odour. The best-selling spray contains Lactic Acid AHA to eliminate the bacteria that causes foot odour and eradicates hard skin. It is clinically proven to prevent infection, promoting healthy feet and nails.

Nuasan Active Body Wash (€19.95) and the Nuasan Active Body Moisturiser (€24.95) are both enriched with arnica and magnesium to help tired muscles recover faster. Macadamia, oat and macro-algae help to hydrate, soothe and nourish the skin in the luxurious moisturiser.
