FRESH FEARS FOR PSYCHIATRIC SERVICES IN BALLINASLOE

There are fresh fears for the future of services at St. Brigid’s Psychiatric Hospital in Ballinasloe.

It follows a meeting between the lobby mental health group "Invisible No More" and hospital management.

Trade unions are to meet with Catherine Cunningham of the HSE Primary Community Continuing Care team on Monday at 3pm to discuss their concerns.

Padraig Mulligan of Impact trade union says staff fear the services may be wound down in 26 weeks.
