Free arthritis programme to be rolled out in Galway

Galway bay fm newsroom – A free occupational therapy programme for adults with arthritis is being offered in Galway.

Up to 250 people from the border, midlands and western region could avail of the 2 year programme which is being rolled out in September.

It will apply to people aged 18 to 65 with arthritis who are in receipt of a social welfare payment and who may be struggling with; or out of work.

The programme will be delivered by a skilled occupational therapist and will take place in the arthritis clinic in Galway city or in the individual’s home environment.
