Ashley Keating is dodging cars on a busy Parisian Street.

The Frank And Walters’ drummer is in the French capital to do a series of shows with his band, who play the Róisín Dubh on Saturday, December 15.

Their latest album, A Renewed Interest In Happiness, is released in France on January and will be distributed by Fnac, the country’s Answer to HMV.

The Cork band have come a long way from their first show in De Barras, Clonakilty back in October 14, 1989.

“We’re officially an eighties band — we just made it in by a few months!” declares Ashley.

It was only when Jack Lyon was researching his Frank And Walters biography A Renewed Interest In Reading that the drummer recalled the exact day of the gig.

“I don’t really remember much of it,” he says about the show. “It was alright.

At least we didn’t split up after it anyway!”
