FOUR CHARGED OVER MERVUE AND ORANMORE GROW-HOUSES

Four men have been charged in connection with a major weekend drugs seizure in the areas of Mervue and Oranmore.

The men, three aged in their 20s and one in his 30s, were arrested on Saturday evening following two organised searches.

Two grow houses were discovered and cannabis plants with an estimated street value of 730 thousand euro, pending analysis.

The men were last night [Jul 15] charged in relation to the seizure and are due to appear before Galway District Court later this morning.
