Four people are being questioned at Ballinasloe Garda station this afternoon in connection with a series of theft crimes in Athlone and Ballygar

The two men and two women were arrested in Moylough this morning after Gardai from Mountbellew, Ballinasloe and the Tuam Traffic Corps pursued their purple Ford Fiesta car

Gardai are now searching the Moylough area for a fifth person -a man – who escaped when Gardai surrounded the car when it crashed in a housing estate in the town
