Four arrested in murder probe

A major breakthrough has been made into the murder investigation of Swiss teenager Manuela Riedo last week with the arrest of four people this morning (Thursday) in the Galway city area.

Shortly after 7am, detectives swooped on two locations in Galway city and Salthill and arrested three young people — two men and one woman. At 9.20am, another team of detectives and Gardai, swooped on a house in the Laurel Park area of Newcastle and arrested a fourth person — a man in his late 20s.
