Former Galway binman shares business ideas

A former binman will launch his second business book The Binman’s Guide to Marketing, a collection of marketing inspirations and ideas which have been the secrets to the success of his and many leading Irish and international companies.

Following the success of his first book The Binman’s Guide to Selling which shot to No.3 in the Amazon Bestseller list following its launch in 2013, author Oisín Browne has focused his second literary offering on the areas of branding, social media, digital marketing and PR to help business owners and marketers to increase sales.

Having started out on the back of a truck on The City Bin Co’s early morning bin collection route in Galway back in 1998,  oisín is now firmly in the driving seat.

Having risen up through the ranks over the past 18 years he is now a shareholder in the company which employs over 100 staff in Ireland and has ambitious plans for Europe.

In addition, the internationally mobile business enthusiast works in waste management in Europe and the Middle East as well as being the social media lead for The City Bin Co. and working closely with the company’s Marketing team.

Now a shareholder in the company, Browne’s new book charts the lessons learned over the years in bite-sized tips to help guide budding entrepreneurs or anyone seeking inspiration and ideas to get into a winning mindset when it comes to marketing.  As well as sharing his own insights, The Binman’s Guide to Marketing also delves into the knowledge bank of some of Ireland’s leading Marketing minds, including brands such as Ryanair, Coderdojo, Tayto and many more.
