FORMER EYRECOURT CONVENT SOLD FOR QUARTER IT’S PREVIOUS VALUE

A former convent in the South of Galway has sold for 285 thousand euro, ten thousand euro more than its reserve price, but approximately a quarter of its valuation at over 1.15 million Euro two years ago.

The property was one of many sold at a distressed property auction in Dublin which concluded last evening(Mar 1).

The old convent at the square in Eyrecourt, which comprises a former recording studio and gym sold for 285 thousand euro and was owned by World famous singer/song writer Roger Whittaker.

A two bed apartment on the Spanish Arch in the city sold for 163 thousand euro- that’s 68 thousand euro MORE than its reserve price.

A B&B, Portarra Lodge, Moycullen was sold for 267 thousand Euro to angler Michael Canney.

Meanwhile, a commercial building at the Square in Dunmore was withdrawn from auction.
