FORENSIC CRASH EXAMINERS AT SCENE OF FATAL TUAM CRASH

Gardaí are to review the closure of the N17 near Tuam shortly following last night’s crash, which killed two men.
A van and bus, carrying 27 students, collided at Glenafosha outside Tuam shortly after half past 7 last night.
The drivers of both vehicles, a man in his 30s and a man in his 60s were killed.
The van driver is from Galway and the bus driver is from Mayo, but they have not been named yet.
12 students on board the bus were taken to University Hospital Galway in a fleet of ambulances and Garda-escorted vehicles.
Their injuries were not life-threatening.
The crash happened during bad weather conditions when visibility was poor.
