Flannery Puts Bohs In A Spin

FRESH legs were a vital ingredient as Colmanstown came from behind to maintain their unbeaten start to the season with a well merited win in this Western Hygiene Supplies First Division tie at Millers Lane on Sunday.
The introduction of young Tom Flannery midway through the second half added a creative streak and with two subtle passes, he changed the course of the game as the visitors pulled clear in a contest in which they were the better side.
That quick brace were finished in clinical fashion by Colin O’Grady and Ray Moran and a game that was in the balance was soon turned Colmanstown’s way. Though a late Des Joyce goal reduced the margin to the minimum and kept it competitive in the closing minutes, justice was seen to be done with the outcome.
It really was a game of two halves. The opening half was a more balanced affair with the real talking point the amount of chances that went abegging at both ends. Just an Alan Byrnes goal separated the sides at the end of that opening 45 minutes as Bohs got a reward for been the more progressive side during that spell.
