Five NUI Galway researchers to share 3 million euro science fund

Galway Bay fm newsroom – Five NUI Galway researchers have been awarded a total of almost 3 million euro in funding from the Science Foundation of Ireland.
The Minister for Research and Innovation Sean Sherlock has announced a 23 million euro fund to help support the work of 40 researchers nationwide.
Dr Peter Crowley, Dr Jamie Goggins, Dr Subhadip Bodhak, Dr Sebastian Gornik and Dr Margaretha van der Merwe will receive funds under the programme.
The allocation is part of the government’s Action Plan for Jobs, and aims to support researchers who have shown potential for societal and economic impact.
