FIVE NEW CONSULTANTS FOR GALWAY HOSPITALS

Five new consultants are on the way to Galway.

The health service executive has announced that 4 will work at UCHG and one at Portiuncula Hospital Ballinasloe.

The UCHG consultants will work in the areas of cardiology, respiratory medicine, gastroenterology and geriatric medicine.

At Portiuncula the new consultant will specialise in the area of histapathology, with hopes it’ll lead to improved pathology turnaround times.
