The HSE has confirmed five new cases of Coronavirus were diagnosed in the Republic today.
A female in the west of the country is among the five who were confirmed tonight by Chief Medical Officer Tony Holohan.
The cases are:

That brings the total number of cases in the Republic to 18, while in Northern Ireland, there have been four cases. Internationally, there have now been 98,202 diagnosed cases and 3,381 deaths from Covid-19.
Dr Holohan said that 18 is a “small number of cases” and the HSE is able to explain all but one of those cases, adding that the chances of picking up the virus in this country is “very low”.
