A former city petrol station site, a former Oranmore restaurant and a batch of six residential units in Portumna are just some of the Galway lots due to go under the hammer as part of a major auction next month.

The event being led by Allsop Space has a nationwide catalogue of 127 lots comprising 74 residential houses and apartments and 53 land lots and commercial properties.

The Galway batch includes a former Esso petrol station on the Headford Road close to the junction with Dyke Road with a reserve set not to exceed 400 thousand euro.

A long leasehold for the former Pantai Restaurant in the City Limits Complex in Oranmore is also up for grabs with a reserve not to exceed 75 thousand.

In Portumna, a long leasehold mid terrace building internally arranged to provide a ground floor takeaway unit and six residential units is also in the catalogue.

It’s situated on St Brendan’s Street with a reserve not to exceed 135 thousand.

The batch of six Galway lots also includes a bungalow in Tuam and two semi-detached houses at Gort na Mona in Headford.

Robert Hoban is Associate Director with Allsop Space and says the Galway mix contains some key commercial units with knock-down reserve prices compared to their boom-time value.
