FISHERIES BOARD SAYS ATHENRY DEVELOPMENT IS PREMATURE

More housing is planned for Athenry.

Coffey Construction want to build 52 houses at Caherryon as well as a temporary treatment plant.

Thw Western Regional Fisheries Board however has lodged a submission to the plans stating the development is premature.

This is pending final resolution of the ongoing serious pollution of the Clarin river.
