FIRES CONTINUE TO RAGE IN CONNEMARA

Fires are continuing to blaze in forests and bogs across Connemara this morning.

Two helicopters have been deployed again this morning in an effort to quench mountain fires that are causing huge destruction.

Teams from the State forest company Coillte are currently battling numerous fires in the Moyard area and in the Cloosh forestry south of Oughterard where fires have been raging for almost two days.
