FIRE IN BUILDING BESIDE CITY SCHOOL

GARDAI are investigating a fire in a building beside the Mercy Primary School in Newtownsmith in the city in the early hours of today.

Firefighters were called to the scene at approximately 6.30 a.m and quickly got the fire under control.

It is understood that damage to the building was slight.
