FIRE CREWS CALLED TO SCENE OF EYRE SQUARE FIRE

Two units of Galway fire brigade were called to a fire at a business premises in the city centre this morning. [7/12]

The fire brigade were alerted to the fire at an office beside AIB bank in Eyre square just after 7am.

A spokesperson for the Fire Brigade says that the fire began when rubbish took light near the premises.

The two units of Galway Fire Brigade spent over an hour at the scene and no-one was injured in the blaze
