FIRE CREWS AT MOUNTBELLEW FIRE

Fire crews are continuing to battle a bog fire in East Galway this morning. [27/4]

The blaze broke out at Springlawn last evening [26/4] and two units of the fire brigade went to the scene.

The fire died down overnight but fire crews have returned to the scene this morning as the blaze picked up.

Fire crews are trying to prevent the blaze from spreading to houses in Springlawn and Annaghmore.
