Fire at disused Corrib Great Southern Hotel under control

Galway Bay fm newsroom – The fire at the disused Corrib Great Southern Hotel on the Dublin road in the city has been brought under control
One unit of Galway fire brigade was sent to the scene just before 4 this afternoon
A spokesperson for the fire services told FYI Galway that there have been no reports of injuries and the blaze is now under control
Galway Gardai are also in attendance and are investigating the cause of the fire, which its understood affected the upper floors
This is the second fire in five months at the derelict building
In March firefighters spent two hours battling a blaze on the top floors
