FIRE AT CASLA STORE UNDER CONTROL

A fire at a well known Connemara hardware store has come as a big blow to the area.

The fire broke out shortly before 9 o clock this morning at Nicolas o Connor’s hardware store in Casla Industrial Estate, but is now under control.

The store which is one of the area’s biggest employers, is owned by well known local businessman, former county councillor and Senator, Nicolas O Connor.

There was nobody in the store when the fire broke out as workers had not yet arrived on site.
