Fine Gael to choose European candidates for the West

Galway Bay fm newsroom – The Fine Gael selection convention for the European elections will take place this afternoon.

It’s expected that the party will choose two candidates to contest the election for the North/Midlands/West constituency.

The two candidates going forward for selection are current MEPS, Jim Higgins and Mairéad McGuinness.

The selection convention will take place at 3pm today at the Sheraton Hotel in Athlone.
