FILE FOR DPP OVER ATHENRY ALLEGED SHOOTING

A file is to be sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions in connection with a violent burglary and alleged shooting at a house in Athenry last week.

Five people in total were arrested in connection with the incident, which happened on the 26th of April at a house in Fern Hill.

Four men and one woman were detained and questioned over the course of this week at Mill Street station in the city, but were released without charge.
