FILE FOR DPP IN TUAM IMITATION GUN CASE

A file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions after a man was arrested in Tuam for possession of an imitation firearm.

The man, understood to be a foreign national, and in his 20s, was arrested outside Springers pub in the square at around 7:30 on Sunday evening.

He was taken to Tuam Garda station but released later that evening.
