FILE FOR DPP FOLLOWING TUAM DRUGS SEARCH

A file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosections following a planned drug search in the Tuam area this morning.

A man in his late twenties and a woman aged in her 30s were arrested and questioned at Tuam Garda Station as part of the operation.

It’s understood a small quantity of drugs was discovered when members of Galway Drugs Unit searched a car in the area.

The pair have now been released without charge and a file is being prepared for the DPP.
