FILE FOR DPP AFTER TEEN CRASHES CAR IN CITY CENTRE

A teenager has been released from custody and a file is being prepared for the DPP after he crashed the car he was driving in the city centre this morning.

The 19 year old, thought to be from the east side of the city, crashed into a pole close to the House hotel on Merchants road just before 8 am.

No one was injured in the incident.

Gardaí suspect the car the teenager was driving was stolen.
