FILE FOR DPP AFTER CONNEMARA DRUG SEIZURE

A file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions following a cannabis plant seizure in the Connemara area last night [Aug 30].

Cannabis plants with an estimated street value of 40 thousand euro were discovered as part of the Garda search.

A Connemara man, aged in his late twenties, was arrested for questioning following the raid which took place at a residential premises at approximately 11 O’Clock last night.

He was then detained at Clifden Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.

He has since been released without charge pending a file for the DPP.
