FILE FOR DPP AFTER CITY DRUGS SWOOP

A file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions following the seizure of a substantial amount of drugs in the city yesterday.

A city man in his 20s was arrested in Ballybane yesterday in possession of thousands of euro worth of heroin.

As part of a Garda operation, he was arrested for the sale or supply of the drug, and was taken to Galway Garda Station for questioning.

The man was later released and a file on the matter is being prepared for the DPP.
