Fianna Fail chooses candidates for city local election
Galway bay fm newsroom – Fianna Fáil has selected 6 candidates to go forward for the local elections in the city next year.
At a selection convention at the Galway Bay Hotel last evening (17/11), three sitting councillors and 3 new candidates were chosen.
Sitting Councillor Ollie Crowe from Bohermore and Nicola Deacy from Shantalla, who works at University Hospital Galway were chosen for the Central ward.
Sitting Councillor Michael Crowe also a native of Bohermore and auctioneer Alan Cheevers from Doughiska were selected for the East ward.
In the West ward, accountant David Burke from Monalee Heights, Knocknacarra and sitting Councillor Peter Keane (KANE) from Taylors Hill were selected.
