FFRENCHS MONIVEA TO BE DEMOLISHED

Well-known Monivea premises, Ffrenchs, is to be demolished to make way for a new mixed-use development.

Padraig McGann has been granted planning permission to demolish the nite-club, function room, lounge restuarant, creche and dressing rooms.

In it’s place he will build a new restuarant, function room, bar, offices, retail units, creche and apartments.

County Planners have given the go-ahead for the redevelopment of Ffrenchs in Monivea, subject to 19 conditions.

Chief among these is that a method statement must be agreed regarding best practice to protect the structural integrity of the existing building.
