FERRY TRANSFER SUSPENDED AT GALWAY DOCKS

The transfer of two ferries onto a cargo ship at Galway Docks has been suspended.

Galway harbour company has confirmed the Clann Eagle and Clann na nOileán ferries will remain at the docks tonight.

It’s understood that the weather is not a factor in this decision, and the boats may not be moved now until Saturday.

Three men were injured this day last week, when a sling hoisting one of the ferries onto the ‘Thor Gitta’ freight carrier snapped.
