Feast of trad in aid of flood victims

The former musical director of Lord of the Dance Gerard Fahy will return to the Town Hall Theatre,Galway on Tuesday next, December 15 for one night only. Ger will showcase the Celtic Earth Show, which includes an eclectic mix of haunting melodies and vibrant rhythms of traditional music. Celtic Earth promises to be a feast of music that will leave people on the edge of their seats.
The supporting cast of musicians, singers and dancers includes singing star Seán Costello, Eurovision singer Marc Roberts, Máirín Fahy and Chris Kelly of Trad on the Prom, as well as lead dancers from Riverdance and Lord of the Dance, along with Gerard’s band, Furry Village. It will showcase Gerard’s talents as a master musician and accomplished composer. The result is a dynamic mix of exciting traditional music that promises to be vibrant, powerful and compelling.
Gerard Fahy, who was greatly influenced from the rich musical tradition of the Ballinakill Céilí Band, plays whistles, pipes, and bouzouki to experiment with the many different musical genres. He has had a diverse and varied career from leading Furry Village to producing his own show Tara, which debuted in the National Concert Hall and toured extensively in Europe.
All profits from the concert will be donated to the victims of the recent floods.The show is running for one night only so early booking is advisable.
