FEARS OVER TRANSPORT INFRASTRUCTURE CUTS IN THE WEST

Government funding for major road and rail projects in Galway and the West is likely to be scrapped this year and Galway West TD Eamon Ó’ Cuív is very concerned.

The Fianna Fáil TD claims there is a serious threat to the N17/N18 road, the Galway city outer bypass, the N59 and the R334 road projects.

A total review of the national development plan is expected to take place in September, when funding for road and rail projects will be announced.
