FEARS INTENSIFY OVER FALLOUT FROM SHANNON HEATHROW LOSS

Industry bosses are now warning of major job losses across the Western seaboard following the decision by Aer Lingus to discontinue its Shannon -Heathrow route.

The airline has come in for major criticism following the decision but it seems the government will not intervene.

Industry leaders in the region, including those from Galway, are now preparing for a crisis meeting in Shannon tomorrow to discuss plans for the future of the route.
