Fears aired for sexual assault treatment unit

THERE are concerns for the future of a Sexual Assault Treatment Unit for the city which was due to be up and running early this year.
Councillor Catherine Connolly has been told by HSE West that the Unit should be open next Spring, though yesterday she voiced a fear that the current economic climate that might cause another delay.
Cllr. Connolly, as a member of the HSE Regional Health Forum, had asked recently for an update on the unit, which has been on the cards for years and was told it wouldn’t be opened before next Spring.
