FATE OF CITY CHRISTMAS MARKET COULD BE SEALED TOMORROW

The future of the German-style Christmas market for Galway could be sealed tomorrow.

Organisers are hoping to meet with Garda representatives to discuss police concerns over their application for an alcohol licence to sell beer and mulled wine in Eyre Square next month.

English organiser Alan Hartwell told Galway Bay fm News this afternoon that time was an issue and he was "getting more anxious by the day".
