Fast-rising Dublin band Otherkin all set for free show in Monroe’s
Dublin based alt-rock band Otherkin have been busy trying to make a splash in the music industry since releasing their debut EP, Broken English, last year. As part of this campaign, hey play a free show in Monroe’s this Friday, September 12.
The ambitious outfit intended to ‘hit the ball out of the park’ with their debut EP which shows their interest in variety. From lyrical rock ballads to electro guitar riffs, Otherkin cover several musical bases in their debut offering. The follow-up EP As a High, released earlier this year, along with a music video for the title track, sees them trying to position themselves at the forefront of emerging Irish music.
In their first year, this band have already joined the Emerging Talent Tour run by the AMA music agency and have headlined the closing night of Whelan’s Ones To Watch 2014. They also played support to Palma Violets, as well as being one of the very few local acts to play the Trinity Ball 2014.
