FARMERS END BLOCKADE AFTER TALKS WITH N6 COMPANY

Work has resumed on the N6 Ballinasloe to Galway Road today following yesterday’s blockade by some local farmers near Ballinasloe town.

Jeeps and cars blocked 10 dumper trucks from transporting peat.

Late last evening, the protest was called off following talks between the affected landowners in the Poolboy area and members of the N6 construction company.
