A two-bed bungalow in Tuam is set to go to auction later this month with a guide price of just €25,000 as part of a ‘firesale’ of receivership properties.

The property at Sun Street is one of five lots in Galway which will be part of a high-profile auction by Allsop Space in Dublin on November 30.

A second property on the same street – a derelict four-bed – will also go under the hammer with a guide price of €75,000.

It’s the fourth receivership auction to be held by the auctioneers since April.

Also up for auction on the day will be twelve commercial units at The Mart on Galway Road in Clifden.

Seven of the units are leased, generating just over €31,000 per annum and the entire lot have a guide price of €290,000.

A four-bed end-of-terrace in Riverdale, Oranmore is guiding at €75,000; while a five-bed detached house in Clonbur, Connemara on 3.5 acres has a price tag of €115,000.

The five Galway lots for part of 112 which are set to go under the hammer, and the auctioneers note that none of the properties have been inspected internally.

According to the agents, because valuations and inspections have not been carried out on any of the properties, potential buyers should not treat the reserve prices as an estimated selling price.

All of the properties have been set a ‘maximum reserve price’ – the highest bid over this figure will secure the property, although selling for below this figure is not ruled out.
