FAMILY OF ABBEYKNOCKMOY WOMAN KILLED IN CRASH TO TRAVEL TO U.S.

The family of Abbeyknockmoy native Ann Coleman, who was killed in a car crash with her husband at the weekend, are due to travel to the United States over the coming days.

The 44 year old mother-of-three and her 50 year old husband Joe O’ Connell were killed in the crash in Iowa on Sunday evening. [14/6]

The family had been living in Wisconsin and were travelling to the West coast for a family holiday.

The couple’s three children, Sarah, Colman and Maeve were treated in hospital for injuries and one of them is understood to be in a critical condition.

Parish Priest in Abbeyknockmoy, Fr. Joesph O’ Brien says the community is devastated by the tragic news.
